I am a firm believer that everyone can benefit from a dedicated yoga practice. Yoga can improve your health and bring clarity to your mind. Your muscles become stronger, and you will have more flexibility in your joints, something which does not occur from exercising at the gym. Actually, many students have come to me with injuries sustained from working with weights or from years of running. You need to be careful when you have accidents, but that should not keep you from starting a yoga practice. You should not feel pain in a position. There are always modifications to protect an injured area.
